About me

My name is Ewa Konopko

I am a Polish genealogy expert, certified translator and a tour guide in Gdańsk, Poland. I studied cultural sciences. My native language is Polish, I also speak German and English (and a little Russian).

As a tour guide, I’ve had many opportunities to meet people whose ancestors once lived in Poland. Descendants from countries across Europe, Israel, and the USA have asked me to help them discover their Polish heritage. This is how my fascinating adventure in genealogy began. It continues to this day, and I know there is still so much more to discover.

Why would you need to hire a Polish genealogist?

As with any task, experience is key when it comes to ancestor research. I am a genealogist with extensive experience, having conducted many Polish heritage searches.

My genealogy know-how allows me to identify the right institutions and archives to obtain specific records. I’m well-versed in the vast array of online genealogy search engines for finding archival documents and data.

Living in Poland and being an insider, I have access to archival resources that contain many documents yet to be digitized.

Discovering the history of your ancestors can be very exciting; the more you learn, the more curious you become. This is why I make it a priority to respond quickly to every correspondence.

Genealogical research is frequently a detailed and time-intensive process, so if you lack the time or patience, I’d be happy to assist you as a Polish genealogy expert.
