Genelaogy Research - Step 2
Initial Research: I review your information to evaluate research opportunities
Initial Polish genealogy research will help me determine whether documents related to your family are available, where they can be found, and under what conditions. After this preliminary research, you will receive a personalized research plan outlining the possible direction, scope, and cost of further genealogy research.
The documents may not have been preserved due to Poland’s turbulent history, including wars, occupations by neighboring states, floods, or fires. However, thanks to the tremendous efforts of many people, plenty of records are collected in archives in Poland. Some have been digitized, while others are still only available locally upon request. More often than not, the documents are spread across different authorities. At this stage, I will try to determine whether the documents related to your family can be found and obtained.
